Southern Research has provided environmental research and services to government, industry, and private institutions around the world for over 35 years. This work, much of it groundbreaking in nature, has led to the development of new test methods and instruments, the improvement of process and emission control technologies, solution to daunting new environmental challenges, and other important contributions to environmental science.
Environmental and energy research is conducted by two groups at Southern Research - Advanced Energy & Transportation Technologies in Morrisville and Durham, North Carolina and Power Systems and Environmental Research in Birmingham and Wilsonville, Alabama.
