Southern Research maintains a fully operable surgical suite where laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques have been and can be used to facilitate tests or control article deposition at specific locations within the animal body (e.g., rabbit fallopian tubes, ferret duodenum). Intracranial, stereotaxic administration of test or control article capabilities are present and have been used for species ranging from rodents to nonhuman primates.
Our well-trained technical staff provides inhalation anesthesia support and monitors animal recovery. The dedicated veterinary nursing staff includes a licensed veterinary technician and registered laboratory animal technologist. Individual surgical models are developed with the study goals in mind. Medical device placement, custom model creation, and unique deposition approaches are offered for many preclinical disciplines.

How To Work With Us
As a CRO service provider, Southern Research’s Drug Development division has a straightforward business model. Contact our business development representative by clicking here. A confidentiality disclosure agreement will be initiated (your agreement or ours) to facilitate detailed discussions around your specific needs. One of our subject matter experts will be brought into the discussion to ensure we have a comprehensive understanding of your project. A proposal will then be prepared, outlining the tasks to be accomplished, along with a budget and timeline. Upon acceptance of the proposal, a contract will be provided to establish the legal framework for the project.
